The One with the Island of Dread

Okay. It's a sunday night. Most people will dread the next day mainly because it's a work day! Same here. Dread!!! Monday is such a nice day. But I have to go back to that off-shore island called Tekong.

Seriously, what percentage of Singaporean males who is currently undergoing National Service or already completed it actually liked it? Bery little I guess. Of course there are the ones who wants to take military life as a career but let's not include them. National Service is really a waste of time!!

Yaya, you get hands on experience on what it is to fight a war. You get paid higher next time you work. You will mature into an adult after you served NS. Hello? Anyone who actually believe in this is a total snob. Firstly, the higher pay thingy, it only applies if you are planning to work for the Government. I mean, tell me, how many private companies out there actually consider whether or not you went through the Army. Tell me!! How many? Second, if serving National Service is what one calls, the Metamorphism of a teenage male to men, does that mean males in countries who doesn't practice army conscription don't turn to men? I mean, what is the Government thinking? Look further!!! Switzerland is a much better place to serve National Service!

So what's the moral of the story?

Army sucks!

The One with It.

And so God made Earth in 7 days...

Remember how on several occasions, there's this certain someone who made quite an impact of your life? That certain someone may me your relatives, your friends or maybe some stranger down the street. Someone who could be a living like a God now. Or dead.

Oh whateva!

Okay, now back to blogging. So On Tuesday, had my Passing Out Parade ( aka POP ). This marks the end of my Basic Military Training, which by the way, makes people stupid. Okay, everything about the army makes people stupid. Even hanging out with school mates in Tekong ( people like Justin Ke ) also makes you stupid. Basically, Army Is Stupid!!! Period

For the past few days, have been trying to do something meaningful and memorable. So that I won't be wasting my block leave and all. But once again, the keyword is TRY. Been watching animes and playing games. Am pretty sure that they fall nowhere near either meaningful and memorable. Come on, someone shine some light on me ( not literally ).

Woah. 606 more days to my Operationally Ready Date. ( ORD ) and that isn't a good thing. Mainly because if there's a war, we are the first to go. OH, what the heck. I suddenly had this flashback of the picture hanging above the entrance of Singapore Ferry Terminal. "It's not what you leave behind. It's what you will gain in the days ahead." This is so not good!!!

And to conclude, Army Makes You Stupid!!
